What is IGDORE?

Institute for Globally Distributed Open Research and Education (IGDORE) is an independent research institute dedicated to improving the quality of science, science education, and quality of life for scientists, students and their families.



Researchers adhering to our code of conduct can become affiliated with IGDORE. We currently have 171 affiliated researchers whose work spans over 20 scientific disciplines (e.g. astronomy; biology; chemistry; computer science; education; electrical engineering; health science; law; materials science; medicine; metascience; palaeontology; physics; psychology; sociology).

Our location independence allows affiliated researchers to reside anywhere in the world: our researchers reside in about 35 different countries (incl. e.g. Australia; Austria; Belgium; Benin; Brazil; Czech Republic; Croatia; Denmark; Finland; France; Germany; Greece; Iceland; India; Indonesia; Italy; Japan; Kenya; Luxembourg; Malaysia; Nepal; Netherlands; Russia; Serbia; South Africa; Singapore; Slovenia; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland; Taiwan; Thailand; Tunisia; Turkey; Trinidad & Tobago; United Kingdom; United States).
