Join our discussion forum, On Science & Academia, for researchers, students, and the science-interested public – everyone is welcome!
Share ideas and experiences, create public or private groups of interest, ask for advice and recommendations – discuss with as many words as you like.
The primary aim of the forum is to encourage more of the meaningful and difficult discussions on science and academia, discussions that may not always be possible or suitable on Twitter or Facebook. This forum is also, as far as we know, the only place beyond Twitter and Facebook where researchers and students from all disciplines can meet to discuss and share ideas and experiences.
In particular do we want to encourage discussions on philosophy of science; research methods; statistics; open science and education; free (libre) open source software; academic freedom; freedom of speech in academia; diversity in academia.
